According to telecheck there have already been deer harvested in Jefferson Co with a crossbow. Can anyone help me understand how that is legal since crossbow season doesn't start till Oct 1. Thanks.

It could either be a mistake by the person telechecking his or her deer, or it could be hunters with a medical exemption allowing them to use a crossbow during archery season (for people with shoulder or back problems that prevent them from drawing back a bow). OR...it could just be some idiots that shot deer with crossbows illegally and weren't smart enough NOT to report it to Telecheck!
